A Day at the Pool

Sunday was Nolan's first visit to the pool (probably one of many to come)! The day started as normal with a feeding, diaper change, and small nap. Unfortunately, as we progressed through the day, Nolan found it more and more difficult to hold his composure...until we made it to the pool. The moment we arrived on deck you could see a twinkle appear in his little blue eyes. It didn't take long before we were in the pool enjoying ourselves.

Is this a sign of things to come?!

so, here is the dude. he is learning to sit up...almost.

Ahhh...I love rainy summer days in Minnesota. Oh, except when we decide to patch a hole in the side of the foundation of our house which is leaking into our basement, and the rain fills up the knee deep hole we dug because the gutter system is totally worthless and the yard is actually sloped into the house rather than away from it. Ahhh...I love those Minnesota rainy summer days. If it was only cold enough to be snow, things would be so much easier. I am sure I will get my wish soon enough. It’s been a terrible, no good, very bad day.

The dude is cute though, no? I mean, come on, look at him, he's got a little shark on his butt:

after a hard day of yard work (and sitting in a chair watching and screaming) it's great to get some sleep.

For those of you who are wondering, yes, it was cold enought here in Minnesota to dress Nolan in a snow suit in the middle of June. I was still wearing shorts, a t-shirt, and flip flops though.

Bath time...here are some rare smiling moments during bath time. Nolan likes it just fine, but he still gets cold really quickly (he's screaming in the pic with jeanine).
