Vegas, part deux!

Vegas, another great retreat to the desert! This time we got to go hiking in Red Rock Canyon and the Valley of Fire, caught the Beatles themed Cirque du Soleil shoe, Love, and visited Hoover Dam. One of the best parts was hanging out with friends who were out there at the same time. Perhaps the worst part was severely spraining my ankle at the bottom of Red Rock Canyon, further delaying my return to running. The other best part was finding crutches on Craigslist for $3 instead of going to the doctor.

Mexico

We all headed down to Mexico again for a little sunshine during the bleak MN winter, and man this one was a doozy. The underground lazy river was again a huge hit at Xcaret. The little girl got to practice her spanish, the dude got to go horseback riding, Grandpa had his breakfast of champions routine, and of course there was swimming the entire time.
